Age: Mentally 16, due to memory loss. His true age is a few years older.
Character summary: A high school student whose tumultuous past has given him a decidedly idiosyncratic moral outlook and an impulsive streak, but not a whole lot of self-esteem. Has an open, polite and agreeable disposition in the absence of a reason to act otherwise; in particular, he can be embarrassingly sincere about his belief in the positive power of hope. Unlike other students who were explicitly scouted for their unique talents, he was inducted into the illustrious Hope's Peak Academy after winning a scholarship and the title of Ultimate Lucky Student in a lottery, and is very aware of it.
Appearance: 180cm tall, thin and noticeably pale. Wild, unkempt, almost pure white hair that would reach his shoulders if he bothered to tame it; light grey eyes and a normally soft voice. Favours darker colours, loose-fitting clothes, chains and zippers.
